Kay L. Meyer is the founder and president of Family Shield Ministries and host of Family Shield, its weekly radio program heard on 52 stations in 27 states. She is a popular speaker and author on family life, prayer, spiritual nurture, apologetics, and learning to witness. Sample books and publications include: Witnessing—A Lifestyle (Family Shield, 2008);Family Basics (CPH, 2006); Teaching Your Children Christian Values (Concordia Publishing House, 1996); Mission Field on Our Doorstep: Jehovah’s Witnesses (Family Shield, 2004);Portals of Prayer; Teacher’s Interaction; My Devotions; and By the Way. Meyer has over thirty-five years of evangelism, spiritual nurture, and family ministry experience. She serves on the Board of Directors of Lutheran Hour Ministries, the Missouri District LCMS Board of Directors and was an LCMS Reconciler. Kay has an undergraduate degree in education and a Masters Degree in Media Communication from Webster University—Webster Groves, Missouri. She and her husband Tjaden (Chad) have been married for over 40 years. They have three children (two sons are now with the Lord) and three grandchildren.
