Have you ever heard someone say, “What goes around, comes around” and wondered if that’s really true? Using examples from TikTok videos and memes, this session will examine some of the most common false teachings (heresies) that permeate today’s culture. Students will identify why these beliefs are in opposition to what Scripture teaches and help them to respond with a Biblical worldview.
Bio: Ryan Hansen loves sharing the Word of God with youth. He has been a youth specialist for over 20 years, serving in rural camp ministry, inner city mentorship at the Boys and Girls Club, and as a parish-based youth minister and Bible study leader. He currently is part of the theology faculty at Milwaukee Lutheran High School where he received the Heartland Teacher of Merit Award in 2021. Additionally, Ryan is an elder at his local church. He is married to his wife Connie and has 2 sons, Silas (12) and Ezra (10). When Ryan isn’t teaching, he enjoys camping, hiking, reading and spending time with his family. This is Ryan’s 4th LCMS Youth Gathering.
